European Heritage Days 2026: heritage can also be discovered on campus!
From 18 to 20 September, Université Bourgogne Europe is opening the doors of its Dijon campus and its collections to mark the European Heritage Days. Works of art, scientific heritage, architecture, university collections… discover the campus in a new light through tours, meetings and original experiences!
Friday 18 September – Shape your own journey!
As part of ‘Look Up!’ (DRAC) and ‘Children and Heritage’ (CAUE), UBE is offering pupils in Years 3 to 6 an original way to discover the works of art on campus.
Led by Valérie Louvrier, head of artistic activities in collaboration with the Culture Centre (SUAPS), and Marco Aulas, art history student, ‘Sculpt your own path!’ offers a unique exploration of selected works of art on campus, through a walk interspersed with physical activities inspired by the artworks encountered along the way.
The aim is to show how movement can interact with monumental artworks, whilst highlighting the contemporary artists who have left their mark on the campus.
Two sessions: 9.30 am – 11.00 am and 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm (two classes of 25 pupils each, from Year 3 to Year 6) – booking required
Saturday 19 September – Discovering Deyrolle’s flower models
Come and discover flower models from Deyrolle with Anne-Claire Offer, team leader at the CSGA, and Damien Favergeat (pharmaceutical laboratory) and Rodolphe Leroy, library researcher, and Valérie Epinat (University Library)
Long used in teaching, these papier-mâché models are now part of the university’s heritage. We invite you to watch as these models – which have been taken apart and are kept at the Law and Arts University Library on the Dijon campus – are reassembled. For this year’s European Heritage Days, dedicated to heritage at risk, the library staff will also present the Cultural Heritage Safeguarding Plan (PSBC).

Sunday 20 September – A Sunday celebrating art, science and heritage

A new opportunity to discover the campus’s artworks in a different way, through a stroll combining art and movement
From 10.00 am to 12.00 pm (maximum 25 people – booking required by email: baptiste.cottard@ube.fr – meet in the Atheneum courtyard)
• Exhibition: ‘Zones of Indiscernability – Modus Operandi’
Discover works by the artist Em de Korsak, created in collaboration with the ICB laboratory, and those by Laurent Karst in collaboration with Filippo Fabbri and Kamran Behnia
An exhibition at the crossroads of contemporary art, science and the archaeology of materials, centred on meteoritic iron.
Meet at the Atheneum :

From 14.30 to 15.30 (guided tour with the artist and a member of the ICB) – no booking required
• Exploring the university’s greenhouses
Why not make the most of European Heritage Days to step inside the university’s greenhouses? An opportunity to discover this scientific heritage with Cécile Gaëtan, a technician from the UFR SVTE, and some photographs of the old greenhouses by Vincent Arbelet.

You can also explore the campus through its artworks during a joint guided tour led by Valérie Mechmoum (CAUE) and Marco Aulas.

To continue exploring at your own pace, an Art and Science booklet will be available free of charge at the Atheneum, from 10 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm
• ‘Collections beyond the walls’

• Heritage in pictures: from factory to library
Through a selection of historical photographs, discover the evolution of the University Library of Le Creusot and delve into its history.
