SAVE THE DATE : FORTHEM Researchers’ Grand Prix 2026 Final
On Wednesday, October 21, 2026, Université Bourgogne Europe (UBE) invites you to attend the live broadcast of the FORTHEM Researchers’ Grand Prix 2026 Final, hosted this year by the University of Opole (Poland).
On this occasion, nine young researchers from the partner universities of the FORTHEM Alliance will take on an exciting challenge: presenting their research topic in just four minutes, in a clear, accessible, and engaging way for a broad audience.
A UBE Representative on the European Stage
Université Bourgogne Europe will be represented by Leya Liu, a third-year PhD candidate in Chemistry at the l’Institut Carnot de Bourgogne (ICB).
Selected following her participation in the “Ma Thèse en 180 secondes Bourgogne–Franche-Comté” competition, she will present her research in nanoscience focusing on the development of innovative gold-based nanosensors capable of detecting bacterial endotoxins, substances involved in numerous infections and a major public health concern.
This international final will showcase outstanding research conducted across the universities of the FORTHEM Alliance while highlighting the scientific communication skills of Europe’s emerging researchers.
