Université Bourgogne Europe invites you to rethink your career path
On 19 November, from 12 noon to 8 pm, in the Multiplex Hall, Université Bourgogne Europe is organising ‘Rethink your career path’, a day dedicated to vocational training and career change. Held as part of National Retraining Day, this event will give the public the opportunity to meet key players in the vocational training sector, discover lifelong learning programmes and receive personalised advice tailored to their individual plans.
Career development, acquiring new skills, returning to study, validation of prior learning (VAE), skills assessments or career change: Université Bourgogne Europe offers tailored support to help everyone build or develop their career path.
A day to find out more and plan your future
From 12 noon to 5.30 pm, visitors will be able to meet the University’s teams at stands dedicated to the various support schemes. Stands will also be run by Transitions Pro, Mon CEP, France Travail, CAP Emploi, APEC, vocational training funding bodies, and others, to answer the public’s questions.
From 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm, workshops will also provide an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the opportunities offered by vocational training, featuring presentations on the schemes available and inspiring personal stories.
Several sessions will be held
There are several highlights on the programme throughout the day:
- Skills Assessment Workshop, from 2.00 pm to 2.45 pm
- VAE and Hybrid VAE Workshops, from 3.00 pm to 3.45 pm
- Returning to Education Workshop, from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm
- Presentation of vocational training schemes, illustrated by personal accounts.
The day will conclude with the talk ‘Oser la Reconversion’, led by Clervie Rose Boennec, founder of the ‘Oser la Reconversion’ podcast, which will begin at 6.00 pm and end at 7.30 pm.
This will be followed by a drinks reception.
As places for the workshops and the talk are limited, online registration is compulsory.
Vocational training: a key to securing career pathways
At UBE, vocational training is managed by the Joint Service for Continuing Education and Work-Study Programmes (SEFCA). It supports adults returning to education or changing careers, professionals wishing to develop their skills, and young people on work-study schemes, apprenticeship contracts or professional training contracts.
SEFCA also advises businesses and works with institutional partners to meet skills needs. Through lifelong learning, the University aims to contribute to securing and advancing career paths.
