FORTHEM Alliance: UBE was present at the Presidency Meeting that took place in Palermo

This year, FORTHEM Alliance’s Presidency Meeting was held on 14-15 May at the University of Palermo, Italy. On this occasion, the governing bodies of the Alliance’s universities, as well as academic and non-academic experts, came together to discuss about the strategy.
Vincent Thomas, President of Université Bourgogne Europe, visited the University of Palermo (Unipa) in Italy, where he met the Rectors and Presidents of FORTHEM Alliance partner universities to discuss their common strategic objectives and institutional synergies, and to share their vision of the future development of the Alliance.
The Student Council was held in parallel with the Presidency Meeting. Assuming a central role, the Student Council is made up of student representatives from each of the Alliance’s universities, who defend and promote the interests of students, to ensure that their voices are heard and taken into account in the Alliance’s strategic planning. For the occasion, Robinson Daoust, Student Vice-President on the Academic Council of Université Bourgogne Europe, was on hand to exchange views with his European student counterparts.
From 13 to 15 May, Unipa also organised the Workshop for Entrepreneurship, a workshop specially designed for participants to take part in practical activities and to explore innovative learning methods for entrepreneurs, all supported by investors from the various regions.
Among the various events scheduled, Unipa also organised the FORTHEM Run, a 3km race offering the opportunity to discover the University of Palermo campus in a collaborative, responsible spirit, promoting health as well as the values and opportunities offered by FORTHEM Alliance.
To conclude the Presidency Meeting, the guests travelled to the Polo didattico di Trapani where the second day of the Workshop for Entrepreneurship was held in the presence of local players and investors.
