‘La Croisée des Champs’: UBE was present at AgrOnov’s event

On 15 May in Bretenière, Université Bourgogne Europe took part in ‘La Croisée des Champs’. Organised by AgrOnov, the event brought together companies, researchers, students and experts for a day dedicated to artificial intelligence in the service of agricultural transitions.
Ana Roxin, Senior Lecturer in Computer Science at Université Bourgogne Europe, took part in a panel discussion on the uses of AI in agriculture. She was able to highlight the university’s AI centre and the Laboratoire d’Informatique de Bourgogne (LIB).
Throughout the day, a number of speakers gave presentations, including Thibaut Boulanger from SMAG, Olivier Beltramo-Martin from AtolCD, Séverin Yvoz from Alliance BFC, Zoé Guy from IDEL and Jeanne Baduel, an engineer from the PURPAN engineering school. In the afternoon, the Innovation Village was held, where participants discovered the players and projects involved.
As a local university, Université Bourgogne Europe was on hand to contribute to the cross-fertilisation between research, innovation and agriculture. Participants were able to meet Chritophe Cruz and Cloë Vautrin, members of the ICB laboratory, as well as Franck Marzani, Gawain Jones and Jean-Noël Paoli, members of the ImViA laboratory and France Guilhem de Pothuau from the UBE Foundation.
At the end of the day, UBE took part in the AgrOnov board of directors, of which Laurent Gautier, vice-president in charge of promoting research, is a member.
