UBE’s Dijon campus holds its formal 2025 back-to-School ceremony

On Thursday 18 September, UBE’s Dijon campus held its formal 2025 back-to-School ceremony on the Erasme esplanade, on the same day as Color Campus 2025, the flagship event of Campus Days. Members of the UBE community were in attendance to hear President Vincent Thomas’ speech.

As an introduction to the formal opening ceremony, the President reviewed the launch of Université Bourgogne Europe last January. He also looked back on the key moments of this new year, as well as the major projects that will shape life at UBE in the coming months. Among the points he raised, he particularly emphasised:

  • The growing attractiveness of UBE among new high school graduates, as confirmed by the increase in student numbers
  • UBE’s strategy of excellence, recognised internationally in rankings, particularly in the Shanghai ranking
  • Measures for student well-being, with the introduction of menstrual leave for menstruating students suffering from dysmenorrhoea

Maxence Roulliat, Vice-President for Student Life, then invited the top students of the 2024-2025 academic year and UBE’s top athletes to join him on stage and presented them with awards.
