First visit by UBE’s Strategic Steering Committee

The Strategic Steering Committee (COS) of Université Bourgogne Europe held its first meeting on 13 and 14 October.
An overview of UBE
Various topics were discussed during the two-day meeting, including research and innovation, training and attractiveness at UBE, a presentation and meeting with the member institutions of Université Bourgogne Europe and its institutional partners, as well as a visit to UBE’s vineyard in Marsannay-la-Côte and its research projects in oenology and viticulture.

On this occasion, the committee members took part in the Council of Heads of Institutions of Université Bourgogne Europe. The aim of this meeting was to set out the barriers between the various missions of higher education and research, both public and private, in order to promote complementarity in this field, to bring people together and to pursue a differentiated strategy.
Five prominent members
Composed of prominent figures from the socio-economic world whose activities have an international dimension, this advisory committee is consulted by the president on UBE’s strategic orientations, meets at his request, and issues recommendations to the board of directors and the academic council.
The committee is chaired by:
- Hans KRETZ, member of the Laboratory for Studies and Research on Contemporary Philosophical Logics (LLCP), Université Paris 8.
- Franck LETHIMONNIER, Director of the Technology for Health Thematic Institute, Inserm.
- Pierre-Emmanuel MOYSE, Full Professor at the Faculty of Law, McGill University.
- Irena G. STARA, Doctor of Bioorganic Chemistry and member of the International Affairs Council of the Czech Academy of Sciences since 2018.
- Sunniva WHITTAKER, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education at the University of Agder and elected Rector of the University of Agder since 2019.
