International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

On Tuesday 25 November, as part of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Université Bourgogne Europe is holding an awareness day open to students and UBE’s staff.

The programme for the day is as follows:


Morning : Mathiez amphitheatre, Dijon Campus

8.15am: Welcome coffee

8:30 a.m.: Opening speech by Vincent Thomas, President of Université Bourgogne Europe

9:00 a.m.: Presentation of VSS reporting mechanisms for UBE’s staff by Edith Salès-Wuillemin, Vice-President for Quality of Life at Work and Gender Equality, and for students by Carine Michel, Vice-President of the CFVU

10:30 a.m.: Lecture: ‘Why is it so difficult to achieve equality?’ Fawzia Baba-Aissa, Senior Lecturer at Université Bourgogne Europe, Co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the Fund for Women in the Mediterranean (FFMed)


Lunch break (12:30 p.m./1:30 p.m.):


After-noon : Maison de l’Étudiant’s Conference room

2 p.m.: coffee reception

2.30 p.m.: Role-playing and analysis by the audience (led by the PS-QVT department)

6 p.m.: atheneum: film screening and discussion ‘Etudiantes en terrain miné’ (Female students in a minefield) Evening hosted by Clémentine Hugol-Gential, Professor of Information and Communication Sciences, Deputy Director of the CIMEOS laboratory.

This day of awareness-raising about gender-based and sexual violence is organised by the COPIL professional equality between women and men.
