On 2 February 2026, President Vincent Thomas met with a delegation from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Composed of Cheng-Chih Wu, President of National Taiwan Normal University, Meihui Liu, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Yi-De Liu, Vice President for International Affairs, and Horng-Sheng Mii, Vice President for General Affairs, this meeting was part of a series of visits to the university’s main international partners as his term of office draws to a close next month.
National Taiwan Normal University is a strong and long-standing partner of Université Bourgogne Europe. This cooperation has resulted in the establishment of two dual Master’s degrees, one with the Projects in International and European Cultural Engineering (PIECE) Master and the other with the International Management and Sustainability (IMS) Master. The partnership developed with the Institut Denis Diderot in the field of culture is a particularly significant illustration of the quality and depth of the relationship between the two institutions.
Furthermore, NTNU is set to become a key partner within FORTHEM alliance. It is already a partner of the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and, more recently, the University of Sibiu in Romania, and has expressed a strong desire to strengthen its ties with all members of the alliance.
With this in mind, UBE and NTNU are currently working to deepen their collaboration and identify new opportunities for cooperation. Discussions have been initiated between NTNU and Institut Supérieur de l’Automobile & des Transports (ISAT) to explore possible synergies between ISAT’s Master’s in Automotive Engineering and its equivalent at NTNU, and between the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology for the T2MC Master’s and its equivalent.
