William Nusillard, who earned his PhD from Université Bourgogne Europe and the CNRS, was awarded the 2025 François Laurent Prize at the annual congress of the French Group for Pesticide Research, held this year in La Rochelle.
This distinction recognizes each year an outstanding doctoral thesis on pesticides and their impacts in fields such as agronomy, ecology, health, and environmental sciences. Among ten candidates competing for the award, the jury selected his dissertation entitled “Evolution of the Performance of Biological Control Programs in Vineyards Using Trichogramma Wasps Under the Combined Effects of Pesticides and Climate Warming.”
The organizers praised both the scientific excellence of his research and his particularly remarkable research career. Following the announcement of the award, William Nusillard was invited to present his findings during a dedicated conference session before the congress participants.
This distinction highlights the excellence of research conducted at the Université Bourgogne Europe and the CNRS on the challenges of ecological transition and sustainable agriculture.
