European Waste Reduction Week 2025 at UBE
From 23 to 28 November 2025, University of Burgundy Europe will participate in European Waste Reduction Week (EWRW), an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and taking concrete action to reduce our waste. This year’s theme highlights an increasingly important issue: waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
The week’s programme
To mark the occasion, UBE is organising a ‘Clean up your inbox’ challenge. Throughout SERD, the university is inviting its entire community to take a few minutes to clean up their inboxes. The aim is to raise awareness of the environmental footprint of digital storage and to develop good practices for archiving, sorting and using emails. It’s a small, simple gesture that can become a new habit and thus limit our digital impact.
In addition to this challenge, several other activities will be organised throughout the week.
