Which mobility option is right for you?

There are many possibilities for international mobility

You can accumulate and combine several mobilities during your university course. All decisions must be taken in agreement with your course supervisors.

Studies

A semester or academic year at a foreign university partnered with UBE.

Internships

In most cases, optional or compulsory internships which are part of the university curriculum, can be carried out abroad in a wide range of public and private organizations. Specific financial assistance is available to support international internships.

Double and triple degrees

These are course programs set up between UBE and one or more foreign universities. These programs enable students to study in several countries and obtain a degree from each university where they have studied.

DUETI (diplôme universitaire d’études technologiques internationales / university diploma in international technological studies)

A year abroad for IUT (Institut universitaire de technologie / University Institute of Technology) students, who can choose one of three options:

  • study for an academic year at one of UBE’s partner universities, thanks to exchange programmes;
  • do an internship abroad for two semesters;
  • spend one semester studying at a UBE partner university and the other semester doing an internship abroad.

Programs taught in English at UBE

These master’s programmes, offered in several fields of study, are taught entirely or partially in English and allow you to internationalise your studies while remaining in France. By following such a programme, you will improve your English language skills and will likely share your classes with other international students. Some of these programmes also include mobility abroad (studies or internships), which may be mandatory or optional.

Short stays

These programs offer a few days’ mobility abroad, and can also be combined with online activities followed from France (Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme – BIP, FORTHEM Alliance collective and individual short-term mobility etc.).

Teaching your native language

Teaching your native language in support of teachers in secondary schools and colleges around the world. Eligibility conditions depend on the destination – some countries accept applicants from all fields of study, not just language or teaching graduates. To find out more, consult the Euroguidance website or contact the cultural services of the embassies of the countries you’d like to visit, which can provide you with contact details. If your mother tongue is French, find out more about language assistants on our Enseigner le français page.

Other programs

The FORTHEM Alliance and the Erasmus+ program offer a number of opportunities to complete your international career. For example, you can participate in online programs, take part in civic engagement projects or develop your network of international contacts.

There are many other ways of enriching your international experience outside your university course, such as civic missions, volunteer work, internships for young graduates and so on. Some of these schemes can even be a complement to academic mobility programs.
