Nadine Millot joins INRAE Scientific Council

By joint decree of Annie Genevard, Minister of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Food Sovereignty, and Philippe Baptiste, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Space, published in the Official Journal on 5 November 2025, Thierry Damerval has been appointed chair of the INRAE Scientific Council with effect from 9 November 2025. Fifteen members will serve on the council for an initial term, representing the international academic, economic and scientific communities.

Among them, Nadine Millot, University professor and Vice-President for Research at UBE, joins the council as a recognised scientific figure. A specialist in physical chemistry and member of the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Carnot de Bourgogne, she actively contributes to the development of research and innovation within her university. Her appointment illustrates INRAE’s desire to strengthen the dialogue between major national research priorities and regional dynamics, as well as to promote a resolutely interdisciplinary approach to agricultural, food and environmental challenges.

Under the chairmanship of Thierry Damerval, the new scientific council will support the deployment of the institute’s scientific priorities, promoting excellence in public research at the heart of these transitions.
