Support for the Ukrainian higher education system: UBE joins forces with Vinnytsia

Université Bourgogne Europe, represented by Grégory Wegmann, Vice-President for European and International Policy, was present at the signing of a cooperation agreement between Dijon Metropole, Burgundy-Franche-Comté Region and the city and region of Vinnytsia in Ukraine. Prior to this, the delegation had been received at the Cortex library for a presentation of the university.
This presence was part of a continuing commitment by UBE, which had already been involved in the Burgundy mission to Vinnytsia in April 2024. The university is demonstrating its support for Ukrainian higher education by welcoming 38 students and staff from Ukrainian universities this year.
New European programmes, the results of which are expected this summer, will make it possible to increase this number between 2025 and 2028. UBE pays particular attention to the universities of Vinnytsia, which also hosts the Donetsk university, forced to relocate due to the conflict.
This partnership demonstrates UBE’s long-term commitment to international cooperation and support for Ukrainian academic communities.
