Loans of equipment

Dear Students,

Each of you, regardless of your place of study (Auxerre, Chalon, Dijon, Le Creusot, Mâcon, or Nevers), may apply for the loan of computer equipment provided by the University of Burgundy.

For the 2025–2026 academic year, Dell laptops and 4G keys (with a 50GB monthly subscription) are available for long-term loans covering the entire year.

The loan application form will remain accessible until all available equipment has been requested.

Before filling it out, you must read the information below:

• Each application will be reviewed based on the eligibility criteria for computer loans (established in 2021 by the commission).
• The list of recipients will be generated automatically according to these criteria. Without going into detail, it is important to note that first-year (L1) students will have priority; some social criteria will of course also be considered. Students who benefited from a loan last year may reapply and continue their loan.
• Only completion of the application form will be considered as applying for a computer loan for this academic year.
• All information regarding student computer loans is published on the student portal of the UBE website (tab “prêt de matériel”) and is updated regularly throughout the academic year.
• Any student whose application is accepted will receive an email at their student address before September 10. The required supporting documents will be specified in this email. Once these documents have been submitted (in digital format), an appointment to collect the equipment will be scheduled.

The required supporting documents are:

• Scan of the student card
• Scan of an identity card
• Proof of civil liability insurance in the student’s name
• Signed agreement
• A signed bank account details (RIB). The RIB may be in your name or in one of your parents’ names

Submission of these documents is mandatory to benefit from the loan, which will be valid from the date of actual collection until June 30, 2026.

Another option for borrowing a laptop: The BU Le Cortex on the Dijon campus offers 15-inch laptops for loan to all students.
