Artificial Intelligence Morning Session: Understanding, Experimenting and Taking Action

Artificial intelligence is gradually becoming part of our daily lives, whether at work or at home, and is already transforming the way we work, produce, communicate and make decisions.

To help you better understand these developments and identify the opportunities they present, Université Bourgogne Europe is organising an AI Morning on Thursday 15 October 2026, from 9.30 am to 1 pm, in the Polytech Building on the Dijon campus.

A morning to understand and take action

Why take part?

This event will enable you to:

  • Anticipate changes in your sector by understanding the current state of AI.
  • Safeguard your projects by gaining a firm grasp of the legal and regulatory issues.
  • Identify your training needs so that your teams can become key players in the transformation driven by AI.
  • Discover CAIRE, the training programme that addresses these challenges step by step.

Programme

9.30 am – Welcome

A friendly welcome over breakfast will give you the chance to meet the various participants and discuss your expectations and challenges.

10.00 am – Lecture 1: The history of AI and the evolution of this technology, presented by Christophe Cruz

In his talk, Christophe Cruz will discuss the history of Artificial Intelligence and the opportunities this technology offers. To take things a step further and familiarise yourself with AI, the CAIRE training programme and its awareness-raising course will enable you to quickly get to grips with these new tools and integrate them into your processes, without the need for significant investment.

10.40 am – Talk 2: Legal and regulatory aspects of AI, presented by Lisa Lemaire

Lisa Lemaire will give a talk focusing on the key legal and regulatory challenges surrounding artificial intelligence.
Having been covered in CAIRE Levels 1 and 2, the legal aspects will no longer be unfamiliar to you. The training will also enable you to understand the mechanisms, limitations and risks of AI so that you can use it with complete confidence.

11.20 am – Presentation of the CAIRE training programmes by Magali SABIO

Magali SABIO will present the CAIRE project, winner of the ‘Skills and Professions of the Future’ Call for Expressions of Interest, France 2030.

CAIRE offers hybrid training programmes, combining face-to-face and distance learning, to support you in developing your skills in artificial intelligence.

A programme comprising three levels of training:

  1. Introduction to AI → Getting to grips with it and using it effectively (for staff who want to understand the basics), suitable for all profiles.
  2. Informed use of AI → An in-depth analysis of its mechanisms, limitations and potential (for staff who are curious and comfortable with their digital environment).
  3. Strategic adoption of AI → Developing strategic and operational expertise in AI, tailored to your business environment (for experts and decision-makers).

11.40 am – Presentation on R&D and innovation by Christophe Cruz
