Disability: UBE and Caisse d’Épargne BFC sign their 2026 agreement for an ever more inclusive university
On Thursday, July 15, Université Bourgogne Europe (UBE) and Caisse d’Épargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté (CEBFC) signed their annual partnership agreement, reaffirming a long-standing shared commitment to supporting students with disabilities.
During the official ceremony at the Maison de l’Université, Mathias Chevalier, HR Director of Caisse d’Épargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Vanessa Vaizant, Deputy Vice-President for Disability and Inclusive Campus at UBE, Sylvie Sire, Disability Project Officer, and Pascale Auroux, Head of the Student Support Services Department at UBE, discussed the partnership’s essential role in the wellbeing of students with disabilities.
A partnership that has become a pillar of inclusion at UBE
Year after year, this collaboration has grown into far more than a formal commitment: it has become a true pillar of UBE’s policy for supporting students with disabilities. Thanks to CEBFC’s renewed support, the Disability Mission can offer concrete, personalized solutions tailored to each student’s needs.
Concrete solutions in support of independence
Once again this year, the partnership is helping to develop solutions tailored to students’ sensory needs. Tools such as Tangle toys, sensory balls, sand timers, and earplugs provide simple yet effective ways to support concentration, reduce stress, or address certain forms of hypersensitivity.
The partnership also enables the purchase of specialized equipment, such as a magnifying camera for visually impaired students, so that everyone can access their coursework under the best possible conditions. Beyond the equipment itself, these investments are, above all, tools for independence, access to knowledge, and academic success for the students who benefit from them.
A lasting, two-way commitment
Beyond the equipment, this agreement allows UBE to place its efforts within a broader inclusion strategy, combining individualized support, awareness-raising across the university community, and ongoing improvements to the accessibility of its programs.
The agreement thus reflects a two-way commitment: Caisse d’Épargne, for its part, commits to hosting students for internships or employment, taking part in awareness initiatives, and promoting banking careers among students with disabilities.
Université Bourgogne Europe extends its sincere thanks to Caisse d’Épargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté for its steady support and renewed trust, and looks forward to continuing a collaboration that keeps improving the daily lives and academic journeys of many students.
