Guy Millot Receives the 2026 Léon Brillouin Grand Prize from the French Optical Society
Université Bourgogne Europe extends its congratulations to Guy Millot, professor at the university and researcher at the Interdisciplinary Carnot de Bourgogne Laboratory (ICB), who has been awarded the 2026 Léon Brillouin Grand Prize by the French Optical Society (SFO).
This prestigious distinction recognizes his outstanding scientific career and his major contributions to the development of nonlinear optics and photonics. His pioneering work on optical fibers, solitons, and frequency combs has significantly enhanced the international visibility of research conducted in Dijon and has helped establish ICB as a leading institution in this field.
This award adds to an exceptional scientific career, notably marked by the CNRS Silver Medal, his appointment as both Junior and Senior Member of the French University Institute (Institut Universitaire de France), and his election as a Fellow of both the European and American Optical Societies.
