Launch of the “Digital Archaeology” Graduate Programme at UBE

This postgraduate programme offers an in-depth exploration of the requirements of archaeology, in collaboration with specialists in computer graphics (the LIB and IMVIA laboratories), MSH and ARTEHIS laboratory. The course is multidisciplinary and is aimed at Master’s students, preferably from UFR S&T, SVTE and SHS faculties. It is worth 5 ECTS credits (non-degree-awarding). It comprises seminars, laboratory work and fieldwork days (the so-called ‘Celtic’ camp at Mont Milan in Meursault).

The course covers image data, multimodal and three-dimensional data, the processing of digitised and georeferenced data in an archaeological context, as well as the preservation, visualisation and interpretation of the data produced.

The GP comprises 116 hours, including seminars, laboratory work and field studies. It is based on case studies and collaborative projects. The programme is taught in English.
