What if you switched to cycling? The guide to the devices to take the plunge

In favor of soft mobility, the Université Bourgogne Europe is strengthening its offer for students and staff. Sustainable mobility package, new equipment: find here a summary of all the available devices today to make cycling your daily ally.

Bike self-repair station

Installed in November 2025, in front of the Gabriel building, under the Gutemberg amphitheater. This self-repair station provides all the necessary tools for the routine maintenance of your bike, 24 hours a day: set of keys, screwdriver, pump… Cyclists can control and maintain their bikes to calmly approach their journeys.

Géovélo Community

The Géovélo app helps you to define the best routes by bike, favoring bike paths and adapting to your type of bike.

The UBE has its own community on the Geovélo app, join it! A national ranking counts the kilometers traveled by all communities to encourage cycling in everyday life.

To join the UBE community:

  1. Install the Geovélo application
  2. Create an account
  3. Join the Université Bourgogne Europe- Dijon community with the code: KGQOGOH

Vél’UBE Device

The university service bike, a sustainable solution for business trips. Twenty-two bicycles are distributed in several buildings on the campus; university staff can borrow them with their multi-service card from the reception. The bike must be returned during the day to its starting point. It’s a quick, convenient and eco-friendly way to get around the campus by doing some physical activity!

Sustainable mobility package

In order to encourage commuting with sustainable mobility, the university offers the “Sustainable Mobility Package (FMD)”. It allows for assistance of up to €300 per year for staff using an alternative mode of transport for at least 30 days per year.
