Welcome Day for UBE’s new employees

On Monday 14 September 2026, Université Bourgogne Europe organised a day dedicated to welcoming its new staff. It was an opportunity to explore the university, meet the management teams and familiarise themselves with the academic environment.

The day began with a presentation on the university and how it operates. Vincent Thomas, President of Université Bourgogne Europe, and Laurent Gebel, Director-General of Services, flanked by the vice-presidents, outlined the various components of the institution, its services and its organisation.

You are joining an institution that is on the move, proud of its history, and driven by a simple conviction: each and every one of us – every student and every member of staff – deserves the very best we are capable of delivering.

Vincent Thomas, President of Université Bourgogne Europe

At the end of the morning, the 92 new arrivals present that day enjoyed a convivial get-together over a buffet with members of the management team, as well as with the heads of departments, faculties and laboratories.

The afternoon then gave new staff the opportunity to explore the Dijon campus. On foot or by bike, participants explored several key locations on campus, enabling them to gain a better understanding of their new working environment. Through this day’s events, Université Bourgogne Europe aims to facilitate the integration of its new employees and encourage interaction between the various departments and faculties.

Université Bourgogne Europe would like to extend its warmest thanks to all the organisers, participants and supervisors for their commitment and their contribution to the success of the day. It once again extends a warm welcome to all its new staff and wishes them every success and fulfilment in their new roles.
