Claudie Haigneré (born 1957 in Le Creusot), from the uB to outer space
After obtaining her baccalaureate at the age of 15, she studied medicine in Dijon. Following a doctorate at Cochin, she specialized in rheumatology, moving on to the neurosensory physiology laboratory of the CNRS, where she carried out research on the adaptation of sensory-motor systems in microgravity. In 1990 she joined the CNES (space medicine), and in 1996 made a 16-day flight on board the Russian orbital station MIR. In 2001, she returned to space aboard the International Space Station ISS. Appointed minister in the Raffarin government (2002-2005), she served as president of Universciences from 2009 to 2015.
